Ingrid was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. She drives a Honda, is the middle child of her family and is left handed. She holds dual citizenship with Canada and New Zealand, but now makes Los Angeles her home.
Ingrid attended the Claude Watson School of the Arts and majored in drama (Canada’s answer to Fame!). She continued her studies, earning a B.F.A. at Ryerson University in the Theatre department.
Upon graduation Ingrid began working immediately in theatre and television. She had the pleasure of working with some of Canada's top theatre directors (Paul Thompson, Leah Cherniak, Jason Sherman, Eric Coates) but you probably recognize her from that commercial, selling that product.
Ingrid won some viral notoriety with her You Tube sensation “Bride Has Massive Hair Wig Out” which, to her surprise, saw her featured on Jimmy Kimmel Live and Good Morning America with Diane Sawyer among others.
Eventually she found her way into comedy with Chelsea P. Manders forming the comedic musical duo “Charity & Chastity". As a duo they performed all over and were eventually approached by Tricon Films & Television to create a pilot based on their dynamic.
Ingrid was cast as Monique in Edgar Wright’s Universal Pictures feature “Scott Pilgrim Versus the World” (based off of the comic book series set in Toronto by Bryan Lee O’Malley) and after shooting that she moved to Los Angeles and has been living and loving ever since.
Upon moving to LA she's been writing and performing regularly. She wrote and performed her solo comedy show "Angrid" at the Upright Citizens Brigade theatre, she also performs with her sketch comedy group The Get Go. She also performs and hosts the Hello Giggles live storytelling shows.
In the summer of 2011 she was cast as a co-host in the Comedy Central pilot "Overloaded" with Micheal Kosta. She also performed in the pilot for VH1, executive produced by The Office's Craig Robinson, "Avatar'd". Ingrid also had the opportunity to fly around the country as the face of Four Loko. She is on billboards across the US and in the FunnyorDie campaign with fellow comedian James Davis.
Ingrid spends her free time thinking of painting, trying to learn guitar, riding her bicycle around Los Feliz and watching movies. Movies are her jam. She also loves writing biographies for herself in the third person.
